Our PhD student, Cristian Gonzalez Prieto, alongside Associate Professor Sarah Cullum from the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland, recently presented his research at the 4th interRAI Annual Knowledge Exchange. His talk, titled “Machine Learning in Dementia Risk Prediction Using Routinely Collected Data,” explored the development of a machine learning model that leverages routinely collected health data. The goal of this research is to predict future dementia diagnoses while considering individual attitudes and preferences regarding the use of their health data in dementia research. This innovative approach aims to enhance the precision and personalisation of dementia care and prevention.
