Introduction
Due to a lack of up-to-date general guidelines on student use of generative AI, this document is designed to assist university students in using generative AIs ethically during their studies. It is important to note that these are general guidelines, and institutions may have their own set of guidelines, which may differ from the principles outlined in this document. Students are strongly advised to review and adhere to their respective institution’s guidelines before applying the principles outlined in this document.
This document addresses several key concerns raised by Hadi Mogavi et al. on ethics in higher
education. These concerns are:
- Academic integrity
- Spread of misinformation and fraud
- Privacy and data concerns
